Peanut Butter Oatmeal Dog Treats
Ava and Zoey have no shame. They beg. The especially beg when they smell peanut butter and hear the tink of a spoon against a stainless steel bowl. Treats! This is their favorite on-the-go treat. We take the dogs with us when we go ice fishing as long as we’re not going on the snowmobiles. They run from flag to flag across the ice, especially Ava, the fish lover. We take these protein-packed treats for them to help them stay warm and energized on the ice. They’re also great for when they’re chasing bunnies while we snowshoe. For the most part I use these as a cold weather treat because they do get soft in the heat. If you make them in warmer weather you’ll want to store them in the fridge.

The recipe says cook time is 30 minutes. I see no instructions for cooking. How do you serve them …rolled into balls?
Robin
Ooops! Sorry about that, Cate! The 30 minutes is chilling time in the fridge to make the treats form easier. I roll the dough into balls.
